california SHASTA LAKE CALVARY CHAPEL
The primary purpose of the church will be Mark 12:30–31: 'And you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.' This is the first commandment. "And the second, like it, is this: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no other commandment greater than these.'" NKJV
Jesus was and is the primary example of which we are to follow and how we are to live each day. Our goal would be to promote a place of worship to our Lord where we can hear His Word, seek His presence, and worship Him.
Our desire is to love our neighbors, which we define as anyone we come in contact with during our everyday lives. As a church we desire to reach out to those in our community; to encourage and lift up.
"And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching" (Hebrews 10:24–25). NKJV
We seek to meet together as a church body, presenting our hearts and minds to God so that we can be renewed.
"I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God" (Romans 12:1–2). NKJV
As our own lives begin to witness the testimony of the victory that we have in Jesus, the commission He set forth for us will be a by-product of who we are. His burden is light.
"All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen. (Matthew 28:18–20) NKJV
